From the Governor’s Desk: 8/7/2018

Hello members of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania!

It is my duty to report that Governor Peter Adams has resigned due to personal reasons.

As prescribed by our bylaws, Article VI, section 2:

The Deputy Governor, in the case of the absence of the Governor, shall preside at the meetings of the members of this Society and of the Board of Assistants. In the event of the absence, resignation, disability or death of the Governor, the Deputy Governor shall exercise all the powers and perform all of the duties of the Governor, until the return of the Governor, or until such disability shall have been removed, or until a new Governor shall have been elected.

This action transitions the Deputy Governor to the “Acting Governor”.

As your Acting Governor, you can expect the transition to be seamless as Peter, myself and the Board of Assistants (BOA) have been working closely together on society business and activities. The next BOA meeting will be September 22nd. We are creating an agenda to cover all priorities for our responsible committees. We welcome members to join our leadership team at the BOA or Colony level.

There are many opportunities in the future. With the 400 year anniversary in two years, expect some exciting events to celebrate and help grow our membership!

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach me directly by email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or my cell phone 724.880.0233.

I thank Peter for his commitment and efforts on behalf of our society. And I thank the membership for the privilege of serving our vibrant and strong society!

Respectfully

Reed Kneale

Preset Styles

The Style Settings panel in the Gantry based theme administration interface provides several options for configuring the main built in stylistic aspects of the template.

Style

Gantry also provides the ability for you to create your own custom presets based on any parameter in the theme administrator. You should determine which parameters you wish to configure to be a part of the presets.

Assigning a Style

With Gantry, the ability to assign a certain style to an individual page has never been easier and/or more efficient. Just follow these simple steps:

  • Go to Extensions → Template Manager → rt_hexeris → Assignments → *Menu Item*
  • Select your preset from Show Presets, configure and save.

After setting your defaults to the desired values, select the Menu Items button and choose the menu item you wish to modify the parameters for. You will then see a series of checkboxes on the left of all the supported parameters.

Select the checkbox next to the parameter you wish to modify, it will then become active, and you can modify as you wish. Clicking “Save” in the toolbar will then save this configuration.
